The Bears on Snow Peak
The Bears on Snow Peak
Original Painting:
24X30 Acrylic on Wood Panel $2800
This painting was inspired by a spur‐of‐the‐moment overnight camp out with some middle school guys on the summit of Snow Peak. We watched falling stars and made up stories late into the night.
Waking up before sunrise I scouted around camp with a camera and photographed this scene (minus the bears). We did find some bear sign later that day as we explored the rocky crest. The Lupine, Paintbrush, and Bear Grass are from my one of my most favorite backpacking trips to Mt. Rainier, Summerland campground, 7000‐foot elevation.
